IV99 / IS99 incremental encoders from TR Electronic have been specially developed for use under extreme conditions, like those found in heavy industry for example, with conveyor belts and bucket-wheel excavators in surface mining, in elevator construction or in wind power plants. They ensure reliable speed and position control on powerful drives in these applications.

Thanks to their high vibration resistance of up to 250m/s2, shock resistance of up to 1,500m/s2, IP67 protection class and large temperature range from -20° to +80°, these robust incremental encoders can withstand even the harsh everyday conditions of heavy duty operation reliably and constantly.

The terminal compartment for electrical connection is safely sealed in relation to the disk and electronics. This effectively prevents contamination or damage to the electronics during installation. The shafts are electrically insulated from the housing and electronics.
