Incremental rotary encoders for extreme mechanical stress

Particularly in heavy industry, incremental rotary encoders are subjected to extreme mechanical influences such as shock and vibrations or environmental conditions such as temperature fluctuations or moisture, e.g. in steelworks and rolling mills, crane installations, mining, in oil and gas production or in wind power plants.

Despite the extremely high stress, perfect functioning of the incremental rotary encoders must naturally be guaranteed even under extreme external conditions. This demands particularly robust design and durable technology.
TR-Electronic heavy-duty incremental rotary encoders have solid aluminium or stainless steel housings and are equipped with heating or cooling elements if required. ATEX-compliant and salt and acid resistant housings can also be used, depending on the application.
